Our Mission: Purr Project Animal Rescue’s goal is to enhance the welfare of animals in our community through rescue, treatment, spay and neuter, and adoption. Through spaying and neutering and public education on ethical pet ownership, we are dedicated to lowering the number of homeless animals. All the animals in our care receive a secure and supportive environment, and we work hard to place them in devoted, forever homes where they may flourish. Our ultimate objective is to help as many animals as possible.
We are proud to be a leader in animal rescue in our community and honored to continue Amber's legacy of dedication and passion for animal welfare. At Purr Project Animal Rescue (PPAR), we provide a safe and nurturing environment for all the animals in our care. From bottle feeding and fostering to finding loving forever homes, we do everything we can to ensure every animal in our care receives the attention and care they need.

Amber and her volunteers do a phenomenal job of rescuing animals. You could not ask for a better person to be saving these animals lives. I’m so glad she’s in Yuma helping animals and I’m so glad I got to know her keep doing what you do Amber.
I have had the pleasure of adopting both a dog and multiple kittens and cats from this amazing rescue.
Amber has always been professional and caring.
She has always answered my questions and listened to any and all concerns that have arisen.
With rescued pets there are sometimes sniffles, coughs, sneezes and such. Amber has always provided the information on how best to care for them and medication when needed.
I have adopted from 3 of the local rescues and I give this one high marks and highly recommend they be your 1st place to look for your next 4 legged family member.
Thank you Amber for all you do for our community.
I went to the adoption event at the pet store on Fortuna and the adoption process was so smooth and effortless. I adopted a sweet 3 year old pup who melted my heart immediately. I love that this rescue gave me a bag of free food and the pet store that was hosting also gave me a bag of free food and a bunch of free food items for my little guy. I was also given the vaccination records as well. First day I brought my pup home he threw up his food over nerves. I got nervous and texted the owner of the rescue and she immediately responded and texted me the day after asking me how my pup was. She also helped me when I rescued an elderly pup off the street and gave me great recommendations. Very happy with this rescue and the owner is very nice!
We found a stray cat outside my work and I posted it on Facebook. Amber messaged and called me to walk me through how to best help the kitty. He was happily reunited with his people thanks to the help and advice I got from Amber.
Super friendly they where able to help me with helping out a mama cat in need I will definitely be recommending
On a chance visit to visit my folks in Yuma, I fell in love with Velvet (now Glory) who was being fostered after recovering from Parvo. The adoption process was smooth, and Deanna was an amazing ambassador working on behalf of Amber. You all do amazing work, and I am so very thankful for finding the newest addition to my household.
